The 21st Century Voter ID bill (SF509) was passed by both the Minnesota House and the Senate, but was vetoed by Governor Dayton. An identical or very similar bill is likely to be introduced again if the Voter ID Constitutional Amendment (SF1577) passes and is ratified, as state election statutes will have to be amended to comply with the new constitutional requirements. The 21st Century Voter ID bill will be the best and most obvious way to comply with the Voter ID amendment.
