21st Century Voting

Electronic “pollbook” is a voting system for the 21st century. It’s faster, less expensive and more accurate than our current 19th century system. It brings the following advantages:

Puts an End to Wasteful Pratices and Saves Money

Our outdated election system is wasteful, requiring thousands of man hours of data-entering hand-written documents, the printing of hundreds of thousands of paper voter roster pages, and printing, mailing and processing half a million postal verification cards each election. Pollbook will do away with all of that and save considerable expenditures.

Greater Convenience for Voters

Pollbook makes voting faster and easier. Long lines will be a thing of the past and no more lining up by last name. One computer terminal will replace all the alphabetized roster books.

People in the wrong precinct will be detected and a map to their proper precinct can be printed for the convenience of the voter.

Integrates Seamlessly with Photo ID

State-issued photo ID integrates seamlessly with electronic pollbook for enhanced security and better record keeping.

Improves Accuracy and Transparency

Our current system is error-prone due to data entry of handwritten election records and manual scanning of voter histories from the roster pages. New voter registrations can take up to six months to be processed. With electronic pollbook, all data is entered automatically, accurately and instantly. Exact records of who voted will be available on Election Night for verification purposes, instead of six months later.

Detects Ineligible Voters Before they Cast a Ballot (instead of after)

In many cases, today’s election system doesn’t identify ineligible voters until after their ballot has already been cast. Electronic poll book will detect ineligible voters before they can get a ballot.
